Following his talk to the class about his roles both as a local MP and Minister for State for Climate Change, Greg was happy to answer any questions the pupils wanted to throw at him. Subjects ranged from sex education, sentencing, higher education funding and the difficult financial situation of the country.
Speaking at the college, Greg said:
“I was really impressed by the quality of the class discussion and their informed approach to politics and government. They clearly understand many of the issues affecting our country today and were ready to question the tough political decisions which the Coalition Government have had to make.
We should be proud of our local pupils who are thinking responsibly about the bigger picture and growing up into engaged young adults and perhaps future politicians.”
