GREG IMPRESSED BY BEXHILL TOWN TEAM
13.02.13 For immediate release: Bexhill MP, Greg Barker, met with Hillary Randall and Patrick Stappleton of the Bexhill Town Team last Friday for an update on the Team’s plans for re-invigorating Bexhill town centre.
Greg has been fully behind the Town Team since he chaired their inaugural meeting last September. He was particularly interested to learn more of their grot-busting initiative to tidy up the town and business premises. The Town Team has drawn up a voluntary Code of Practice for landlords and letting agents to encourage them to keep empty premises in good order and allow local entrepreneurs to use them for “pop up shops” on a short term basis.
Speaking in Bexhill Greg said “I am hugely impressed with the new burst of energy and creative ideas that the Town Team are bringing to the centre of Bexhill. In only a matter of months since this new group was formed, they are making a real difference to our town. Bexhill is very lucky to have committed local residents and businesses like this who are prepared to give up their time to make a real difference and I am delighted to be working closely with them on a range of new ideas for our town.”
