GREG PRAISES COMMUNITY MARKET IN STONE CROSS
25.11.14 for immediate release: Local MP, Greg Barker, called into Stone Cross Community Market and Coffee Morning at St Luke’s Parish Centre last Friday where he also held a drop-in advice surgery.
Greg was greeted by Dave and Hazel Picton who organise the weekly community market that is well supported by the local community. He saw for himself the lovely range of products on sale at the parish centre and chatted with the traders and customers.
Greg also held a drop-in advice surgery at the centre where he was joined by local Wealden District Councillors, Bill Tooley and Lin Clark who were on hand to help people with any local issues.
Speaking in Stone Cross, Greg said “I really enjoyed visiting the community market at St Luke’s Parish Centre in Stone Cross with its great variety of stalls and refreshments. It is definitely worth a visit, especially for unique and creative local products which would make ideal Christmas gifts. The parish centre also proved to a good venue to meet local people at my drop-in surgery to talk about issues that are important to them.”
