Speaking to over 60 members at their regular local breakfast meeting Greg said “Despite the huge challenges we face as a result of Labour’s debt crisis, the Coalition is determined to make the next decade the most dynamic and entrepreneurial in Britain’s history. Growth is the Government’s top priority and every part of Government is focused on it.”
Greg outlined the Government’s four over-arching ambitions for the British economy which are: to create the most competitive tax system in the G20, make the UK the best place in the world to start and grow a business to encourage investment and exports as a route to a more balanced economy and create a more educated workforce that is the most flexible in Europe.
Greg continued “The key to returning the economy to growth lies with the private sector which is why the Coalition is taking measures to lift the regulatory and tax burdens on business to help them grow. I recognise that small and medium sized businesses are vital to the local economy in Bexhill and Battle.”
