GREG WELCOMES FALL IN THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE CLAIMING THE MAIN UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT
19.08.13 for immediate release: Greg Barker, MP for Bexhill and Battle, has today welcomed new statistics that show the number of people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance – the main unemployment benefit – has fallen by 25,000 in the South East.
Welcoming the figures, Greg said:
‘It’s great news that the number of people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance is falling in the South East.
‘British business is rising to the challenge of creating jobs and we’re determined to ensure that all hardworking people benefit from the recovery. There is always more to do, but these figures are encouraging.’
