Huw enjoys lively discussions at Beulah Baptist Men’s Breakfast in Bexhill
Bexhill MP, Huw Merriman, joined nearly 50 members of the Beulah Baptist Men’s Breakfast group early on Saturday morning to talk about his role as local MP and to discuss topical issues of the day.
The highly popular bi-monthly Men’s Breakfast combines a real feast of a breakfast, with a talk from an invited guest speaker. This month it was the turn of local MP, Huw, who talked about his background, his career in law and how his wish to serve the community led him to becoming an MP. He went on to explain how he now divides his time between Parliament and the constituency and answered questions on a wide variety of subjects, including Brexit.
Speaking after the event Huw said “It was a real pleasure to meet with so many constituents at this informal setting on a Saturday morning to hear their views and concerns on local and national issues and to chat about my role as their MP. I would like to thank them all for making me feel so welcome.”
Paul Matthew’s group organiser said “Huw gave a very interesting talk about his life as MP, it was great that he attended after a very busy week in Parliament. Many people who attended spoke to me afterwards and said what an excellent speech he gave.”
