The Bexhill and Battle Conservative Association A G M was held at Battle Memorial Hall last night.
There was a very large turnout and a very positive commitment to the forthcoming County Council Election on May 4th.
Chairman Pam Doodes outlined a very positive and successful year, with increased membership and fundraising. She also introduced our new Agent Tom Liddiard. She also congratulate Cllr John Barnes on his recent award of an M B E.
Our Treasurer Malcolm Gates presented a very successful set of accounts and was warmly thanked for his sterling efforts.
The President, Chairman and Officers were all re-elected unopposed and additional Officers co-opted onto the team for increased focus on the Bexhill and Battle areas.
The meeting was addressed by our very popular M P, Huw Merriman who presented a signed certificate from the Prime Minister to our President Gaynor Gough thanking her for her services to the Conservative Party.
Huw also presented awards for the best fundraising events and the best overall branch fundraising achievement.
The event was rounded off by a splendid sandwich supper provided by the Catsfield, Crowhurst,Telham, Ashburnham and Penhurst Branch.
