Bexhill and Battle MP, Greg Barker co-hosted an reception with the De La Warr Pavilion to celebrate the enormous success of the Warhol exhibition last Friday.
Speaking to the invited local audience, Greg said “The Warhol Exhibition has been an outstanding success for the De La Warr Pavilion and a fitting legacy to former Director Alan Haydon, over 120,000 visitors have been to see the show, almost three times the entire population of Bexhill!
I am sure he would be immensely proud of his team who under Acting Director Stewart Drew have brought his Warhol plans to reality.
I am delighted that his vision and ambition will carry on at the DLWP with their future projects. I am greatly looking forward to seeing their new exhibitions for the rest of the year which promise to be just as exciting.”
Stewart Drew, acting director, said “It was good to see so many of our local supporters enjoying Warhol Is Here and we would like to thank Greg for hosting such a great evening”
