Dear Members,
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope that you find the time to enjoy the festive season with food, friends and family.
I would also like to thank each and everyone of you for the support you have shown me. This has been a year when many of you have taken the time and fought two elections (one of which none of us were expecting). Whilst the national result was not as successful as the County triumph, we are still in Government and we are still on course to deliver the referendum result. Our constituency secondary schools are all now either Good or Outstanding for the first time and the team at our hospitals have turned it around as well. Whilst there are many challenges out there, it is important that we take time to reflect on, and proclaim, the positives in this county and our country. It is not as if the media will!
I would also like to recognise the huge strides made by our in Association. Under Pam's leadership, and with Tom taking to his role with gusto, we have a positive team of officers and a supportive executive which is really firing on all cylinders for events and campaigning. It is good to see Louise join the team and great that Jacquie has continued to give her experience when called. I can tell you, from looking at other associations and hearing from my colleagues, that we are all lucky to have such a renaissance at BBCA.
Merry Christmas to you all.
Regards,
Huw
