Speaker Adrian Hanstock, retired DCC having served 35 years in three different police forces. In 2014 he was appointed by the Secretary of State for Transport to the post of Deputy Chief Constable of the British Transport Police. He was awarded the Queen's Police Medal for Distinguished Service in the 2021 New Year's Honours and was presented with his medal during a private audience with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle.
