Ladies gathered on Thursday 13th July 2023 for what was to be the last meeting of CWO for a little while.
Everyone enjoyed the conversation over an afternoon tea, reminiscing about past CWO events and wondering what lay ahead.
Whilst the current organisers have reluctantly decided to call it a day everyone is keen for this friendly, interesting group to continue, they have had so much enjoyment.
All that has put it on hold for the time being is the shortage of a volunteer to take the chair.
All Conservative women members automatically become members of the Conservative Women’s Association so are eligible to join social events, political discussions, and outings. In the past the activities have been interesting and varied. One memorable outing was to the House of Commons at the invitation of our MP Huw Merriman. Well behaved gentle men were also invited that day, they were delighted to be welcomed and surprised at the vibrancy of the group. (I believe one member failed security as she had a corkscrew in her handbag ……. But that, as they say, is another story).
Why not volunteer?
It would be such a shame if CWO was no more. Perhaps one of you reading this would like to step up and take over? It is not an onerous job, more an easy and enjoyable way to meet up with friends and make new ones.
If you would like more information perhaps you would like to give one of the following members a call to have a chat with you:
